Margaret K. Greenlee, 93

Margaret K. Greenlee, 93, died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at the Adams Health Care Center.

She was born Sept. 12, 1909, in Clear Lake, Iowa, to Frank A. and Anna C. (Frank) Leachman.

On Nov. 19, 1926, she married Howard W. Greenlee Sr. He died Feb. 4, 1976.

Survivors include sons, Howard Jr. (Bobbie) Greenlee, Rose Creek; Ronald Greenlee, Austin; Robert (Kathy) Greenlee, Sioux Falls, S.D.; daughters, JoAnn (Arnold) Haney, Fairfax, Okla.; Beverly Hungerford, Austin; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, John Leachman, Austin.

She was also preceded in death by children, Marcella Waller and Maynard Greenlee; and grandson, Chris Greenlee.

Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. this evening and one hour before the service tomorrow at the funeral home.

Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at the funeral home with Father Paul Nelson officiating. Casket bearers will be Heath Greenlee, Bobby Greenlee, Barry Waller, Mike Greenlee, Kerry Leachman and Steven Wollenburg.

Interment: Calvary Cemetery.

Duane R. Langerud, 71

Duane Ronald Langerud, 71, of Lake Mills, Iowa, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, at the Lee Memorial Health Park, Ft. Meyers, Fla. of a heart ailment.

He was born April 21, 1931, in rural Leland, Iowa, to Maynard S. and Ruth (Arnevik) Langerud.

He farmed west of Lake Mills and was a sergeant in the Korean War. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Lake Mills, and the Hope Lutheran Church, Estero, Fla.

As a member of North Prairie Church since baptism and confirmation, he actively served in various church offices and as Luther League Advisor. In Florida, he was studying to become a Stephens Minister.

Duane started to play duplicate bridge with his wife, Myrna, after retirement. He was a master player and an American Contract Bridge League National Club director.

Survivors include his wife, Myrna Langerud, Lake Mills, Iowa and Estero, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Mary Langerud, Plymouth; daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Jay Benzshawel, West Des Moines, Iowa; Amber and Jeff Hollar, West Des Moines, Iowa; five grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Calmer and Muriel Langerud, Clear Lake, Iowa; Ernest and Sue Langerud, Lake Mills, Iowa; David Langerud, Minneapolis; sister and brother-in-law, Sally and Jim Bevan, Ottumwa.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2003, at Salem Lutheran Church in Lake Mills, Iowa with Rev. Roger Dykstra officiating and military rites by Lake Mills Otto/ Chose Post #235.

Interment: At a later date in Salem Memorial Cemetery, Lake Mills, Iowa.

Funeral Home: Mittelstadt Funeral Home and Cremation, Lake Mills, Iowa.

Barbara A. Bell, 42

Barbara Ann Richardson Bell, age 42, died peacefully at her home on April 12, 2003, after a long battle with cancer.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Elizabeth Richardson Pfenning.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Bell; daughters, Jessica and Ashley Bell; mother and stepfather, Mary Jane and Dr. Merrill K. Smith; father and stepmother, Robert and Beverly Richardson; sister, Mary Jane Riley; many friends, her Great Dane dog and four cats.

Barb's life added beauty and richness to this earth and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Memorials can be made to either The American Cancer Society or the Bell family. The viewing will be Wednesday, April 16, 2003, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Crystal Lake Funeral Home, 3816 Penn Avenue North, Minneapolis. A celebration service will be held April 17, 2003, from 7 to 9 p.m. at The Youth Performance Company, 3338 University SE, Minneapolis.
