University of Minnesota President Robert Bruininks has a right to be outraged after violence erupted on the campus after the Gophers won the NCAA hockey crown.
The action of a few has marred the reputation of many good students. It's especially unfair after reports indicate that some people who don't event attend the U were also rioting in the streets.
We encourage police and university officials to track down those responsible for the vandalism done to numerous shops and even a fire truck.
Actions like these make what is supposed to be a celebratory event into one that is bittersweet.
Those responsible for this melee should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
