Woman reports sexual assault

Austin police plan a follow-up investigation into a report of a sexual assault.
According to an Austin Police Department report, a 19-year-old Austin woman reported the alleged events Wednesday. She alleged they occurred Saturday, March 1.
The woman told police she and a 29-year-old married Austin man visited local bars last Saturday night before going to Iowa to pick-up a male friend of the suspect.
They then returned to Austin and the suspect's home, where the alleged attack occurred in front of the suspect, his wife and his male Iowa friend.
The alleged victim told police, the trio took off their shirts and then the suspect physically removed her shirt and bra and then touched her inappropriately.
The alleged victim said she fell asleep at the residence after the incident, according to police.
Austin police will conduct a follow-up investigation into the accusations.

burglarized
ROSE CREEK -- The Mower County Sheriff's Office is investigating a burglary at the Hansen Trucking headquarters in Rose Creek.
The business was burglarized sometime overnight Tuesday and tools were discovered missing the following Wednesday morning.
Anyone with information into the burglary is asked to contact the Austin-Mower County Law Enforcement Center 437-9400.
