Tomorrow, St. Patrick's Day, wear green if you want to, sample some corned beef, take in a few Irish tunes, but you also might want to attend an event that has less to do with leprechauns and more to do with helping a good cause.
Local law enforcement officers are participating in the annual St. Baldrick's Day event Monday at Oak Park Mall. Twenty-six volunteers have agreed to shave their heads in exchange for donations.
Almost everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer. It's often more heartbreaking if the victim is a child.
The money raised will go toward the National Childhood Cancer Foundation to help those children.
Monday can be a day for fun and a day to help someone suffering from a devastating illness.
