Weekend activities allow residents to jump start St. Patrick's Day festivities.
First Congregational Church holds a corned beef and cabbage dinner from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $7.
St. Augustine's Church will have its annual St. Patrick's Day Dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Along with dinner is a Selling of the Green Booth with crafts and baked goods.
But Irish-themed activities aren't the only activities happening this weekend.
Also boy and girl scouts will be picking up bags dropped off earlier this week. Donors may fill the bag with non-perishable and canned food goods and place the filled bag outside front doors by 10 a.m. Saturday.
Scouts will pick up the bags and deliver it to the Salvation Army Austin Corps food shelf.
Also, Ecumenical Bells will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Paramount Theatre. Tickets are $5.
