The results from the autopsy of Darren Douglas Shaw showed he had a blood-alcohol level of 0.152, more than 1 1/2 times the legal limit.
Shaw, 25, of Austin, died in a traffic mishap in the early morning hours of March 7.
The blood-alcohol portion of the autopsy report was released today by the Austin Police Department.
After consultation with the Austin city attorney, the department said media representatives could formally request the results in writing.
The toxicology results were released March 12 by the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
Shaw was killed when the sport utility vehicle he was driving crashed into a tree in the 1100 block of Fourth Street SW.
Moments earlier, before losing control of the SUV, the driver was pursued by an Austin police officer, who observed a faulty taillight on the vehicle.
The victim was alone in his vehicle at the time of the accident. No other results of the Minnesota State Patrol's investigation into the accident were released.
