Police: Men try to lure girl into car

A 17-year-old Austin girl reported that at 3:40 p.m. Monday, four men in a red four-door attempted to force her into the car as she was walking north on Third St. NW, north of the high school. She said one of the men grabbed her books and then took her by the wrist. The men fled when she called out to her uncle, who was a few blocks away.
Car reported stolen
A car was reported stolen from 400 21st St. NW at 8:07 a.m. Tuesday. William Fleiner, who was watching his parents house while they were on vacation, was alerted by neighbors that the garage was open. The thieves apparently entered by an unlocked side door. The keys were in the center console. Nothing else was reported stolen.
Gunfire causes
vehicle damage
Gunfire was attributed to vehicle damage in the Dexter area of rural Mower County on March 15 at about 6 p.m..
A person reported an unidentified car drove by the house slowly. They heard gunfire and later saw bullet holes in the front of their car.
This is the second such incident reported in the area. The first was on Sunday.
Chief Deputy Mark May asked that anyone noticing suspicious activity in the area to call 911.
