Elizabeth M. Haeny, 90
Elizabeth M. Haeny, 90, of Austin, died Monday, March 10, 2003, at the Austin Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 9, 1912, in Sleepy Eye, to John and Susan (Ludwig) Weicherding.
She married Elmer G. Haeny at St. Mary's Church in Sleepy Eye. They later moved to Austin.
Elizabeth was a wife and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and baking, often sharing her bread with neighbors and friends. She enjoyed her card and birthday clubs. Although she had 12 grandchildren, many other young people called her "Grandma." Her children and grandchildren visited often.
Elizabeth was a longtime member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and was active in her church unit.
Survivors include sons, Richard (Barb) Haeny, San Antonio, Texas; Robert (Betty) Haeny, Sauk Rapids; Steven (Suzie) Haeny, Sauk Centre; daughters, Susan (Michael) Whalen, Edgewood, Ky.; Mary McAlister, Austin; Kathleen Haeny, Indianapolis, Ind.; daughter-in-law, Lynn LaPlant, Tucson, Ariz.; son-in-law, Dennis Dalen, New Hope; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and one sister, her husband; daughter, Barbara Haeny; granddaughter, Lisa Whalen; and a great-grandson.
Visitation: One hour before the service at the church on Thursday.
Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2003, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Paul Nelson officiating.
Interment: Calvary Cemetery.

Edwin B. Perkins, 78
Funeral services for Edwin B. "Perky" Perkins, age 78, of Albert Lea will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2003, at Bayview/ Freeborn Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at Bayview/ Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services on Thursday.
Edwin died Sunday, March 9, 2003, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester after a courageous nine-year battle with cancer.
Edwin Bernard Perkins was born Dec. 6, 1924, in Detroit, Mich., to Bernard and Helen (McDonald) Perkins.
He married Elaine Johnson in 1946. She passed away in 1974. On April 24, 1987, Edwin married Janice Christenson in Albert Lea.
Edwin was a self-employed contractor in Austin and was also involved in sales for several years. He resided in Albert Lea for 35 years. Edwin enjoyed music, playing harmonica and accordion.
Survivors include his wife, Janice; daughter, Celeste and husband Hardy Price of Rochester; five brothers, Joseph and wife Pat of Coos Bay, Ore., David and wife Marlys, and Daniel and wife Connie, all of Rochester, Paul and wife Judi of Austin, and Timothy and wife Sue of Apple Valley; three sisters, Marianna DeGiorgio of Garden City, Mich., Mary and husband Gordon Lampman of Pleasant Prairie, Wis., and Lois and husband Marvin Lovlein of Klemith Falls, Ore.; father-in-law, Clayton Warke of Albert Lea; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and wife Karen Warke of New Richland, and Roger and wife Janet Loken of Rochester; and nieces and nephews.
Edwin was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Elaine; one brother and one sister; and mother-in-law, Eileen Warke.
Edwin will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Blessed be his memory.
Elmer B. Young, 97
Elmer B. Young, 97, of Mapleview, died Saturday, March 8, 2003, at St. Mark's Lutheran Home.
He was born Jan. 8, 1906, in New Hampton, Iowa, to George and Bertha (Beckman) Young.
Elmer worked as a machinist.
Survivors include son, Lawrence Young, Austin; daughter, Rose Marie Halverson, Austin; one granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Myrtle Young; second wife, Leona Young; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Young.
Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at the funeral home and Thursday at the church for one hour before the service.
Service: 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Crane Community Chapel with Pastor Randy Petersen officiating. Casket bearers will be Edsel Sprung, Duane Distad, Melvin King, Ken Nash, Blaine Braaten and Forrest Miller.
Interment: Oakwood Cemetery.

Angela K. Underdahl, 32
Angela Kay Underdahl, 32, of Austin, died Thursday, March 6, 2003, at Methodist Hospital, Rochester.
She was born Nov. 16, 1970, in Austin. She worked several places in Austin, the most recent being Burger King. She enjoyed playing in dart leagues and also playing bingo with her friends. Angie had a special friend in her life, Brian Miller.
Survivors include her parents, Dan and Diane Titus, Austin; son, Codie Miller, Austin; step-brother, David Titus, Austin.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Visitation: One hour before the service.
Service: 10:30 a.m. today, March 11, 2003, at the funeral home with Father Paul Nelson officiating. The casket bearers will be David Titus, Tom Anderson, Troy Anderson, Todd Anderson, John Lynch and Jim Lynch.
Interment: Calvary Cemetery.

Donald T. Enright, 84
Donald T. Enright, 84, of Austin, died Saturday, March 8, 2003, at his home.
He was born July 23, 1918, in Rose Creek, to Emmett and Amelia (Schu-macher) Enright.
On June 21, 1944, he married Rosina Fasbender. She died Jan. 25, 2001.
Don was a retired employee of Hormel Foods.
Survivors include sons, James Enright, Elk River; Dennis Enright, Bemidji; Richard (Cecelia) Enright, Austin; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Dale (Louise) Enright, Austin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers and one sister.
Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. today, March 11, 2003, and Wednesday for one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Father William Becker officiating. The casket bearers will be John Corbin, Jodi Enright, Mike Enright, Keith Enright, Chris Enright and Larissa Enright.
Interment: Calvary Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post #91.
