"Mike was a wonderful individual," said Curtis Sheely, spokesman for Farmers State Bank of Adams, where the deceased was president.

Sheely declined further comment out of respect, he said, for the deceased's family.

According to a Mower County Sheriff's Office report, Finbraaten and a brother were working on a tractor's hydraulics, when the front-end bucket fell atop the victim.

His brother immediately called for an ambulance and then used a Bobcat to push the bucket away.

According to the sheriff's office report, the Adams Area Ambulance Service responded and Finbraaten was transported from the scene by at Mayo One air transport to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.

The accident was reported 10:20 a.m. Saturday in Adams Township.

Among the survivors is the victim's father, long-time former Mower County Commissioner, Robert "Butch" Finbraaten, who served 36 years on the county board.
