Second-ranked Cardinals upset by Dover-Eyota

Dover-Eyota knocked off Class A's second-ranked LeRoy-Ostrander boys' basketball team in a 51-50 non-conference contest Friday night in Eyota.
Mike Hammel scored a career-high 38 points to lead the Eagles past previously undefeated L-O. Only three other players scored for D-E.
The Cardinals (16-1, 9-0) got 27 points from standout center Chad Orum in their first loss of the season.
Dustin Thorson contributed eight points and Jacob Rowe netted seven for LeRoy-Ostrander, which hosts Lyle/Pacelli Monday night at 7:30 p.m. in a Southeast Conference clash.
The Cardinals also host Lanesboro on Friday.
