Weekend activities involve area youth

Although the snow is piling up, there are still a couple of opportunities to quell your appetite this weekend.
Sunday evening, the high school group at St. Olaf Lutheran Church will be serving a hot plate of spaghetti and meatballs as part of a fundraiser for the National ELCA Youth Gathering in Atlanta.
Several high school musical groups will perform during the meal, which takes place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Rasmussen Refectory.
But there's not just the main course on the menu, as crab-filled cream puff appetizers, tossed salad with choice of dressing, garlic toast and Valentine cheesecake also will be available.
Tickets for the meal are $5 for adults and $3.50 for children and are on sale at the church office, between worship services on Sunday and at the door as well.
Valet parking will also be available at the First Street NW elevator door and matching funds for the events are being provided by St. Olaf's Fair Booth Committee.
Also, there will be a benefit chili supper tonight from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the living room at St. Mark's Lutheran Home. A free will offering will be taken. For information, call Sue Hanson at 434-7244.
