Respect the property of others

As the United States ponders about a war against Iraq, the voices for and against such a confrontation are being heard.
Some people around the state have posted signs in their front lawns denouncing the idea of war and exercising their freedom of speech.
Whether others agree with such views, they should respect the rights of those who are voicing their opinion.
That, however, in some cases, is not what is happening. Instead, there have been some reports of people repeatedly vandalizing anti-war signs and yelling insults from their cars as they pass by certain homes.
Of course, that's not the right and mature way to get one's point across. Those people likely don't act in a more civilized manner because they fear the consequences of making such a stance known to the community.
Destruction of other people's property does not make sense and only weakens any point that someone might be trying to make. We encourage people to speak their voice, but to do so in a responsible manner.
