Creations of the Heart raised $425 for the Eagles Cancer Telethon fund-raiser this weekend.
A quilt raffle saw 425 tickets sold.
The winning ticket was purchased by Emily Bartley, who wins a quilt made by Creations' members.
James Wegner, curator of the Austin Area Art Center, where quilts are being featured this month, drew the winning number.
Sandy Brandt expressed her appreciation to all who bought tickets at the fourth annual Eagles Cancer Telethon quilt fund-raiser. Brandt and Creations members Penny Krusemark and Sue Sathre were also present for the drawing Saturday afternoon. All have relatives who are cancer survivors.
The most money raised in the short history of the event was $1,000, Brandt said.
"That year, the quilt was dedicated to a cancer victim and the family bought blocks of quilt raffle tickets," she said.
Brandt will deliver a check on behalf of Creations of the Heart to Dick Brekke of the Austin Eagles to help this weekend's 5th District Eagles Cancer Telethon.
The Austin Area Art Center in Oak Park Mall is open noon to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays.
