Kraig Olson was flawless.

The Blooming Prairie senior forward scored a career-high 27 points on perfect shooting from everywhere, leading the Blossoms to a 79-45 non-conference win over Lyle/Pacelli Tuesday night in Blooming.

Olson was 8-8 from two-point range, 1-1 from three-point land, and 8-8 at the free-throw line in his best offensive performance ever. Lyle/Pacelli could do little to stop Olson and the Blossoms, who hoisted a 23-5 scoring advantage in the second quarter.

Blooming Prairie moved its overall record to 10-2 with its only losses coming to top-rated Mankato Loyola and formerly ranked Kingsland. David Kramer chipped in nine points for the Blossoms and Jon Peterson added eight in the decisive victory.

Nels Nelson led Lyle/Pacelli (1-10, 1-4) with 11 points, while Joey Greibrok scored all of his nine in the first quarter. Nick Ehret and Jake Kaput each tossed in eight for L/P.

Neither Greibrok nor starting center Mark Van Winter played in the second period. Both had two fouls and their absense shrunk Lyle/Pacelli's defense.

Blooming's Olson scored 13 of his game-high 27 in the first quarter, leading the Blossoms to a 25-13 edge.

Lyle/Pacelli plays a Southeast Conference game Thursday at Houston before returning home to entertain Alden-Conger Friday night in Lyle. The Knights won a 54-51 decision over L/P in the second round of Southland's Rebel Classic back in December.

Blooming Praire visits Medford on Thursday for its only contest this week.
