Man wanted in drug bust found

Jose Landa, wanted in connection with a cocaine operation in Lansing, was captured Tuesday in Texas.
Landa, 35, was apprehended by the Cameron County Sheriff's Office at Carlson, Texas.
He was picked up by Texas authorities who notified Mower County Sheriff Terese Amazi late Tuesday.
Presently, he is being held in Texas, pending extradition proceedings.
Amazi said Mower County will seek to have Landa extradited to Minnesota to stand trial on charges.
Presently, he remains in a Texas jail on $750,000 bond.
Still at large is a companion of Landa's, Pedro Galvo, 51. His whereabouts are unknown, Amazi said.
Ernesto Veraza, 50, remains in the Mower County Jail on two felony counts of controlled substance crimes.
Veraza was arrested at a Lansing mobile home, when local and stage agents raided the dwelling Jan. 8.
More than $100,000 street-value methamphetamine was discovered at the residence as well as a large quantity of cash and two handguns.
In addition, equipment for manufacturing false identifications was also discovered.
