Vance Larson has resigned from the Mower County Planning Commission.
Larson served at his final meeting Tuesday night.
"It's been a real pleasure to serve on the Mower County Planning Commission," he said. "I think it's a real good commission and it's been very interesting work."
Larson, a Sargeant area farmer and agri-businessman, and his wife, Lynee, are moving to Wisconsin. Larson and a son, Chad, have acquired a feed mill at Alma, Wis., and also plan to farm, raising turkeys and swine.
Larson was appointed in 1998 to serve on the Mower County Planning Commission.
"It's a good process we have in place in Mower County with the comprehensive plan and zoning ordinance and the commission members all give every request a lot of thought," he said.
In addition to his son, Chad, Larson said his son, Mark, may also join the family's new Wisconsin business venture.
