The Trojans of Rushford-Peterson beat the Southland boys' basketball team, 56-47, Tuesday night in Rushford in the Rebels' Three Rivers Conference opener.

Reid Anderson led the Trojans with 18 points and Dan Moe added 13. Dan Bakker paced Southland with 12, while Tim Schneider and Greg Retterath added nine points each.

The Rebels (1-1) host an eight-team tournament Thursday through Saturday starting with Thursday's 3:15 p.m. game between Lyle/Pacelli and defending tournament champion Hayfield.

Lyle/Pacelli was sent to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in Southeast Conference play after a 65-62 overtime loss at Glenville-Emmons Tuesday night.
