Keith W. Paulson, 69

Keith Walter Paulson, 69, of Austin, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester.

He was born May 18, 1933, in Ames, Iowa to Herbert and Esther (Hougen) Paulson.

He graduated from Ames (Iowa) High School in 1952. While serving in the Army from 1954 until 1956, he was stationed in Germany.

On Aug. 25, 1956, he married Lois Grangaard in Waukon, Iowa. In 1958, he graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa with a BA in education. He first taught and began the tennis program in Charles City, Iowa beginning in 1958. In 1964, the couple moved to Austin where Keith was a teacher and tennis coach for high school boys teams. He retired in 1991 after suffering a severe stroke.

Keith belonged to St. Olaf Lutheran Church, the North West Tennis Association and enjoyed traveling, reading, restoring furniture and his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Lois; daughter, Sarah (Ken) Nygren, Lakeville; sons, Dan (Linda Hesketh) Paulson, Eugene, Ore.; Tom Paulson, New Brighton; five grandchildren; brothers, Don (Marlene) Paulson, Clarinda, Iowa; Wayne (Lynne) Paulson, Chandler, Ariz.; sisters, Doris (Richard) Clark, Lompoc, Calif.; Ruby (Allen) Barr, Stevensville, Mont.; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002, at the funeral home and Friday at the church for one hour before the service.

Service: 11 a.m. Friday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin with Pastor Kristin Wee officiating.

Interment: Oakwood Cemetery.

Margaret C. Wolfe, 87

Margaret C. Wolfe, 87, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at Sacred Heart Care Center, Austin.

She was born Jan. 8, 1915, in St. Lucas, Iowa, to Anthony and Christine (Dulcos) Huinker.

On Sept. 16, 1933, she married Ernest Wolfe. He died May 16, 1999.

She was a retired employee of Hormel Foods, a member of the Catholic Council of Women, St Augustine Catholic Church and an avid cross stitcher.

Survivors include daughters, Janith (Leonard) Espe and Sandra Heikes, both of Austin; sons, Maynard (Diane) Wolfe, Austin; Ronald (Karen) Wolfe, Anoka; Michael (Judy) Wolfe, Tempe, Ariz.; 26 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Hildegard (Chuck) Golden and Rosemay Meyer, both of Austin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Adolph (Ethel) Huinker, John (Donna) Huinker, Maxine Huinker and Marie Huinker, all of Austin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two grandsons, two sisters and three brothers.

Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002, with a 4 p.m. CCW rosary and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Service: 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Paul Nelson officiating. Casket bearers will be Wayne Heikes, John Huinker, Michael Wolfe, Martha Wolfe, Douglas Wolfe and Andrew Wolfe.

Interment: Calvary Cemetery.

Alden W. Miller, 51

Alden "Eldy" Miller, 51, of Owatonna, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, Dec. 9, 2002.

He was born Feb. 24, 1951, to Delbert and LaVerne (Ferguson) Miller in Austin. He graduated from Austin High School in 1970 and attended Austin Community College for two years. After college he worked at Owatonna Manufacturing Company until the company closed in 1982.

In 1977, he married Roxanne VanErp at Associated Church in Owatonna. They raised two children.

Alden worked at Crown Cork and Seal in Faribault and had been employed with them for the last 20 years.

He was a member of the Owatonna Eagles. His hobbies included watching his son play baseball, spectator sports, as well as hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his children.

Survivors include his wife, Roxanne, Owatonna; children, Dustin and Kari, both at home; mother, LaVerne Miller, Austin; brothers, Richard and Tonya Miller, Austin; Dennis and Anna Miller, Manorville; sister, Deanna and Douglas Bakken, Byron.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m., today, Dec. 11, 2002, at the funeral home and Thursday at the church for one hour before the service.

Service: 10 a.m., Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Lee Thomas officiating.

Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Faribault.
