Patricia A. "Patty" Hassinger, 72, of Austin, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002, at her home.

She was born Sept. 12, 1930, in Montevideo, to Charles and Janet (Bennett) Yost.

On Oct. 30, 1948, she married Martin L. Hassinger.

Patty worked at the Sheepe Shedde in Oliva for over 10 years. She moved to Minneapolis and continued to waitress at Nye's for 20 years until her retirement.

She loved flowers, fishing and Vikings football. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren and trips to Northern Minnesota with Dinny.

Survivors include her children, Linda (Bruce) Hoegger, Corcoran; Marty (Ronda) Hassinger, Ramsey; Trudy Hassinger and Keith Lueck, Brownsdale; Pamela (Douglas) Hillemeier, Austin; Perry Hassinger and Marilyn Kropuenske, Detroit Lakes; seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother, Douglas Yost.

Visitation: One half hour before the service on Friday at the chapel.

Service: Noon memorial service Friday, Dec. 27, 2002, at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel in Minneapolis with Rev. James Mikkelson officiating.

Interment: Lakewood Cemetery.
