A 36-year-old Austin man was arrested after an incident at Hey Rube bar Thursday night.
According to an Austin Police Department report, Frederico Xavier Rendon, 1409 Fifth St. SE, was charged with disorderly conduct and DWI.
He was held in the Mower County Jail and then released on his own recognizance.
The police report said officers were called to the bar located across Second Street NE from the Austin-Mower County law enforcement center at 10:44 p.m. Thursday.
Eyewitnesses told police they attempted to throw Rendon out of the bar after he inappropriately touched a dancer, according to police.
Two bar patrons wrestled Rendon to the stage floor and then the bar's bouncer and a bartender escorted him from the establishment, according to police.
The witnesses saw Rendon go to his pickup truck parked in the downtown plaza parking lot and then drive the vehicle around the downtown area to the front of the bar, police said. When he exited, he was carrying a tire iron and used it to strike the bar's door, while they held it closed, according to police.
Police were called and the man taken into custody.
