Grand Meadow girls fall to Lanesboro

After winning the season opener at LeRoy-Ostrander, the Superlarks lost their second consecutive game in a row, falling 51-36 to conference foe Lanesboro on Friday.
After falling behind 13-4 in the first quarter, the Grand Meadow girls outshot Lanesboro 14-7 to come within two points of the Burros at the half. They continued to shoot well the first 15 minutes of the second half, taking a 25-22 Superlark lead into the fourth quarter. But Lanesboro took control of the fourth quarter by out-netting Grand Meadow 29-11.
The Superlarks fall to 1-2 overall and 1-1 in the Southeast Conference.
Grand Meadow will try to turn their losing streak around on Tuesday as they host a non-conference game against Alden-Conger.
