LEROY -- A one-vehicle accident resulted in minor injuries to the driver.

According to a Mower County Sheriff's Office report, Zacharia Jason Nightingale, 17 of Chester, Iowa, was the driver.

Authorities received reports of careless driving by the driver of a black car Tuesday evening. Then, the LeRoy Ambulance Service was dispatched to a report of a late-model Chrysler Cirrus automobile on a residential lawn after striking a tree.

Nightingale was arrested at the scene 8:17 p.m. Tuesday, according to the report.

After being treated by emergency medical technicians, Nightingale was transferred to St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester.

He also faces multiple charges for the driving mishap.
