We're smack in the middle of the fall season. In fact, a few leaves are still on the trees.
However, the recent snows in the northern part of Minnesota should be a reminder to all of us to be prepared for winter.
Many people take care of winterizing their homes and boats. But taking care of your vehicles may be even more important.
To err on the side of caution is a good thing. That's why we encourage motorists to be prepared for the wintry weather by packing extra food, water and blankets in your trunk. It's a good idea also to put a container of granules to give your tires traction, should you get stuck in a snowdrift.
These suggestions sound so simple. However, taking the time to get these items in your vehicle may not only save you a lot of inconvenience. It could also save your life.
