Harold G. Huntington, 77
Harold George "Hal" Huntington, 77, of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Albert Lea, died suddenly on Sept. 2, 2002, in Austin.
He was born Dec. 9, 1924, in Glencoe, to George and Gertrude (Van Hoorik) Huntington.
A World War II Naval veteran, he served in the Pacific.
On May 27, 1953, he married Marjorie B. Nelson in Mason City, Iowa.
A watchmaker at Wulff Jewelry in Albert Lea, he later worked as a salesman for Schweigert Meats, Wilson Meats and did consulting for Sam Walton of the Sam's stores. He retired in 1994 from Wilson Foods and enjoyed playing black jack and pool.
Survivors include wife, Marjorie, Tucson, Ariz.; children, Rick Knauer, Tucson, Ariz.; Janet (Jim) Jensen, Wonder Lake, Ill.; William (Michelle) Huntington, Zimmerman; Terry Huntington, Brooklyn Park; Kim (Ann) Huntington, Brighton, Mich.; Ann (Gil) Schlierer, Stamford, Conn.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Seth (Marjorie) Huntington, Eden Prairie; sister, Mary Ann (Gordon) Klenk, Wells; relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m., today, Sept. 5, 2002, with a 6:30 p.m. wake service at the funeral home and Friday at the church for one hour before the service. There will be no reviewal.
Service: 11 a.m., Memorial Mass, Friday, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin with Father Paul Nelson officiating. Military rites will be by American Legion Post 91.

June Marie Cox, 83
June Marie Cox, 83, of Austin, died Monday, Sept. 2, 2002, at Austin Medical Center.
She was born June 25, 1919, to George and Lena (Schweiss) Steele in Rock Island, Ill. where she attended Franklin School.
She worked at the Farmall Tractor plant, Service Rubber Company, which was a shoe company, and the family grocery store.
On Oct. 3, 1942, she married Larry Cox in Mishawaka, Ind. In January of 1959, they moved to Austin where June worked at Sears and later at Younkers through the mid-1980s.
A member of St. Edward's Catholic Church, she was a lunchroom assistant at St. Edward's and St. Augustine Catholic Schools, a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader and an avid bingo player. She enjoyed being with her family and fishing.
Survivors include husband, Larry, Austin; son, Jerry (Barbara) Cox, San Clemente, Calif.; daughters, Christine (Larry) Hickey, Lake Stevens, Wash.; Kathleen (Michael Gunsolus) Cox, Duluth; one granddaughter; sister-in-law, Betty Steele, Rock Island, Ill.
She was preceded in death by sister, Helen Goodrum, and brother, Richard Steele.
Visitation: One hour before the service. There will be no reviewal.
Service: 3 p.m. Memorial Service, Friday, Sept. 6, 2002, at St. Edward's Catholic Church with Father Joseph Fogal officiating.
Interment: 11 a.m., Saturday, at Evergreen Cemetery, Brainerd.

Margery M. Uschold, 85
Margery M. Uschold, age 85, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Austin, died Tuesday, September 3, 2002, at the Citadel Care Center in Mesa.
She was born December 5, 1916 in Claremont, the daughter of William and Ella (Springsted) McMartin.
She attended high school in Claremont and she received her nurses training in Owatonna.
She married Henry Uschold June 4, 1947 in Austin. They lived in Austin from 1947 until 1962.
They then moved to Lake City, where they operated the Hilldale Motel until 1969.
They then moved to Wabasha where she worked for the Community Clinic.
She retired in 1980.
In 1996, she moved to Greenfieid Assisted Living in Mesa where she could be near her daughter.
She was a member of St. Felix Catholic Church, Wabasha.
She did volunteer work for SEMCAC and other Wabasha County organizations.
Survivors include son John Uschold, North Branch; daughter Linda (Ron) Calhoon, Gilbert, Ariz.; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother Erland McMartin, Claremont; sister Lorna (Mynard) Grunklee, Brookings, Ore.; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and three grandchildren.
Visitation: One hour before the service.
Service: 11 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2002, at St. Felix Catholic Church in Wabasha with the Reverend Donald Lovas officiating.
Interment: St. Felix Cemetery, Wabasha.

Arlene F. Hemphill, 75
Arlene Frances Hemphill, 75, of Faribault died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002, at Infinia of Faribault.
She was born February 3, 1927 in Austin, the daughter of Irene (Smith) and Hans A. Paulson Sr.
She graduated from Austin High School and was married to George A. Hemphill on July 3, 1947 in Austin.
He preceded her in death on November 17, 1963.
She was an employee of the George A. Hormel Co. until the time of her retirement.
She was an active member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
She moved to Faribault five years ago.
Survivors include sons George Hemphill, Jr., Faribault, Bruce (Susan) Hemphill, Faribault; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters Charlotte (Roger) Miller, Austin, Shirley Honsey, Tucson, Ariz., Irene (Douglas) Wilson, Austin, Karen (Ross) Noble, Austin; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Hans Paulson, Jr. and sisters Mildred Mortenson, LaVonne Wilkes, Dorothy Tapp and Evelyn Rasmussen.
Visitation: One hour before the service.
Service: 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2002, at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel.
Interment: Private family entombment at Oakwood Cemetery.
Funeral Home: Clasen-Jordan Mortuary, Austin.
