Lyle/Pacelli was at midseason form at the beginning of the season, even without Louise Mudra. But L/P has Mudra back, and the team is progressing as planned.

L/P swept a three-game series from Grand Meadow Tuesday night, 15-1, 15-4, 15-10, at Pacelli High School. Mudra contributed team-highs of nine kills and six service aces as L/P moved to 12-3 overall and 4-2 in the Southeast Conference.

Grand Meadow dropped to 2-9 overall and 1-5 in the SEC. Cassie Denisen led the Superlarks with four kills.

Mudra and Angela Kuttner came through with nine kills for Lyle/Pacelli, who has won 11 of 12 matches since Mudra's return from surgical removal of a swollen lymph node in her neck. Mudra and Kuttner both tallied a block as L/P dominated at the net Tuesday night.

"We do a lot of things well when we're at the top of our game," said L/P co-coach Norm Blaser.

Lindsey Halbach tallied eight kills and Kristina Hollerud added six. Rebecca Mino dished out 25 set assists.

Lyle/Pacelli begins its longest road trip of the season as its next three SEC games are away from home. L/P goes to Houston on Thursday, followed next week by matches at LeRoy-Ostrander and at Spring Grove.

Grand Meadow goes to Mabel-Canton on Thursday.
