Marion Gage reported 100 tomatoes were stolen from a picnic table in her backyard.

The tomatoes were used in an immediate attack on vehicles, garages and homes in the area of the victim's northeast Austin home.

The Austin Police Department received a report of the theft and vandalism from Gage Sunday.

The gardener had picked the tomatoes Saturday and placed them on a picnic table in her backyard.

They were there at 12:30 a.m. early Sunday and when she awoke later that morning, they were gone, but the evidence was on cars, garages and homes nearby.
