Mildred M. Lonergan, 83

Mildred Muriel Lonergan, 83, of Austin, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002, at St. Mark's Lutheran Home.

She was born June 2, 1919, to Harry and Jessie (Saxby) Learn in Dane County, Wis.

She was a lifelong Austin area resident. She retired as a nursing assistant in pediatrics at St. Olaf Hospital in 1984 then drove part-time for Wilde Bus Service.

A member of Crane Community Chapel, she enjoyed working with children, traveling, crocheting, reading, watching television, doing crossword puzzles and walking.

Survivors include sons, Robert Lonergan, Kansas City, Mo.; Frank Lonergan, Austin; David (Lauren) Lonergan, West Lakeland Township; daughter, Mary Lonergan; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Darlene (Dale) Schmidt, Appleton; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harry Jr., Maurice and Donald; sisters, Margaret and Avis.

Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m., today, Aug. 4, 2002, at the funeral home and Monday at the church for one hour before the service.

Service: 10 a.m., Monday, at Crane Community Chapel with the Rev. Randy Petersen officiating.

Interment: Calvary Cemetery.
