It's fair time.

The Mower County Fair starts today, and we're encouraging everyone in the community to come out support what is arguably the biggest annual event in this area.

And there's something for everyone.

For the young (and the young at heart) there's rides galore that will keep you entertained.

There's also numerous buildings that house 4-H projects. They'll range from garden and craft entries, to the numerous animals. Many of the local children and teens have worked hard in the weeks and months leading up to today, and they'd sure appreciate your support.

The fair is one of the few annual events where there's a sense of familiarity. It's a chance to renew acquaintances and make new ones.

There will be the various exhibitors in the Plager Building. They get a change to talk with the public. We're no different, as we'll also be there. We encourage you to stop by our booth and visit the different newspaper employees there throughout the week.
