Joseph P. Retterath, 57
Joseph P. Retterath, 57, of Adams, died Sunday, July 28, 2002, at Adams Health Care Center.
He was born March 31, 1945, in Adams, to Lawrence and Marie (Wettstein) Retterath.
He graduated from Adams High School and attended the University of Minnesota.
He was a member of the Army National Guard for six years, during the Vietnam War.
On Nov. 6, 1965, he married Betty Ann Wiste at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams.
Joseph was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Adams American Legion Post #146, the Mower County DHIA and a past member of the Sacred Heart School Board.
He was a sports fan, and was especially a fan of the Vikings, Twins and Minnesota Gophers.
He enjoyed swimming and spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include wife, Betty Retterath, Adams; sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Debbie Retterath, Adams; Todd and Dawn Retterath, Austin; Brad Retterath, Rochester; Ryan and Alison Retterath, Adams; Greg Retterath, Adams; daughter, Heidi Retterath, Eagan; five grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, John Retterath, Adams; Thomas and Jeanette Retterath, Adams; sisters and brothers-in-law, Annie and Kenny Hemann, St. Ansgar, Iowa; Lorraine and Kenny Kramer, Adams; Louise and Kenny Goergen, Adams; Helen and Lynn Webber, Adams; Theresa and Wally Watson, Milwaukee, Wis.; Mary and Wayne Rogne, Austin; Liz and Mike Shick, Plymouth; James Blake, Riceville; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Genny Blake.
Visitation: 3 to 8 p.m., today, July 30, 2002, with a 3:30 p.m. Rosary and a 7:30 p.m. Prayer Service and on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Service: 11 a.m., Wednesday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Gregory Leif officiating. Casket Bearers will be Keith Hemann, Tom Retterath, Les Kiefer, Steve Huffman, Dean Grant and R.W. Watson.
Interment: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Adams with Military Rites by Adams American Legion Post #146.

Milo "Mike" G. Barclay, 78
Milo "Mike" G. Barclay, 78, of Austin, died Friday, July 26, 2002, at his home.
He was born July 17, 1924, in Austin, to Emanuel and Lila Mae (Larson) Barclay.
He attended school in Brownsdale and served in the United States Army during World War II.
On Feb. 24, 1950, he married Ruby Wilson Houck in Mason City, Iowa.
Milo was a retired employee of the Hormel Foods Corporation and a member of Crane Community Chapel.
He was an avid baseball fan and fisherman.
Survivors include wife, Ruby Barclay, Austin; daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Philip Eirikson, Austin; Chic and Chuck Roseth, Babbitt; sons and daughters-in-law, Arnold and Barb Houck, Juniata, Neb.; Jim and Pam Houck, Earlville, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Audrey and Max Guritz, Dexter; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Alvina Barclay, Austin; Dick and Norma Barclay, St. Ansgar, Iowa; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Hazel Mae Stundahl.
Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m., today, July 30, 2002, and Wednesday for one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Service: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Randy Petersen officiating. Casket bearers will be Gary Barclay, Corey Roseth, Dale Barclay, Angie Whiplack, Jerry Guritz and Jon Olson.
Interment: Grandview Cemetery, Austin with Military Rites by Austin Post #91 American Legion.
