Delores I. Morgan, 72
Delores I. Morgan, 72, of Austin, died Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at Adams Healthcare Center.
She was born May 16, 1930, in Hayfield, to Lloyd J. and Anna A. (Jensen) Iverson.
She married Robert L. Morgan.
A lifelong Austin area resident, Delores was a member of Crane Community Chapel, VFW and Eagles Auxiliaries.
She loved to play bingo and be with her grandchildren.
Survivors include sons, Steve (Mary) Morgan, Austin; Greg (Janice) Morgan, Danube; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Nancy; and granddaughter, Shari.
Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2002, at the funeral home and Saturday at the church for one hour before the service.
Service: 12 p.m., Saturday, at Crane Community Chapel with the Rev. Randy Petersen officiating.
Interment: Grandview Cemetery.

Charlie John Hartgrave, 86
Charlie John Hartgrave, 86, of Austin, died Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at the Austin Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 3, 1916, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to Kenneth and Annie (Rients) Hartgrave.
He attended school in Iowa and, after completing his education, he worked as a farm laborer for several area farmers before working for the Geo. A. Hormel Company.
On Aug. 21, 1937, he married Hannah Van Lengen in Shell Rock, Iowa.
During World War II, Charlie served with the United States Army Occupational Forces in Germany. After his honorable discharge from Camp McCoy, Wis. on July 7, 1946, he returned to work at the Geo. A. Hormel Company for 36 years, retiring in 1978.
He enjoyed playing horseshoes, cribbage, fishing, bowling and traveling.
He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and the VFW Post 1216 of Austin.
Survivors include wife, Hannah Hartgrave, Austin; daughters, Hazel (Eugene) Salisbury and Charlotte (Howard) Clark, all of Austin; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Chuck Hartgrave; half sister, Angeline; and an infant sibling.
Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2002, at the funeral home and Saturday at the church for one hour before the service.
Service: 11 a.m., Saturday, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Stohlmann officiating.
Interment: Oakwood Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #91 and VFW Post #1216.

Donald Raymond Dorn, 79
Donald Raymond Dorn, 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 22nd at his home in Mendota Heights, surrounded by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Alice, and his son, Scott.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sue, four daughters, five sons, three daughters-in-law, four sons-in-law, 26 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Service: 11 a.m. memorial services, Saturday, in Mendota Heights.

Thyra E. Schultz, 96
Thyra Ethel Schultz, 96, of Ostrander, formerly of Hammond and Wabasha, died Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at the Ostrander Nursing Home, Ostrander.
She was born March 15, 1906, in Lansing, Iowa, to William H. and Mary A. (Pease) Dikeman.
She graduated in 1924 from Wabasha High School. She then attended the Winona State Teachers College in Winona from 1924 to 1926 and then taught rural school at Theilman, Bremen, Indian Creek, Hammond, the Welke District and South Troy Schools.
She lived in Dundee, Ill. for two years, where she worked at the Watch Factory in Elgin, Ill.
On Dec. 31, 1944, she married Floyd E. Schultz in Bremen. They were later divorced.
After marriage, the couple moved to a farm in rural Hammond. Thyra worked at Hammond State Bank in Hammond for 39 years as a bank teller, retiring in 1982.
She was a member of the 500 Variety Card Club, Hammond Community Club, Hammond PTA, St. John's Lutheran Church in Hammond and the Ladies Aid and was also a Sunday School Teacher.
She enjoyed reading the Bible and mystery stories, watching television, going on picnics, traveling and visiting the River County in Iowa.
Survivors include daughter, Bonnie (Mrs. Wayne) Johnson, Taopi; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one brother.
Visitation: One hour before the service on Friday.
Service: 1 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2002, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hammond with Pastor James Fuchs officiating.
Interment: Riverview Cemetery, Wabasha.

Florence Larson, 85
Florence Jeanette Larson, 85, died Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at Field Crest Care Center, Hayfield.
She was born July 9, 1917, in Vernon Township, to Luther and Marie (Johnson) Wilson.
She attended Hayfield and Rochester High Schools.
On June 7, 1938, she married Lyall Larson at West St. Olaf Lutheran Church in rural Hayfield.
The couple farmed until 1970, when they moved to Hayfield.
Florence was a homemaker, taught Sunday School, belonged to Women's Circle, was active in County Extension, Farm Bureau and was a 4-H leader.
She enjoyed her family, trips to Florida, playing cards, visiting friends, knitting and cooking.
Survivors include sons, Vance and Lynette Larson, rural Sargeant; Larry and Suzanne Larson, rural Sargeant; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, on Aug. 4, 1999; one brother; and one sister.
Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 25, 2002, at the funeral home and Friday at the church for one hour before the service.
Service: 1:30 p.m., Friday, at Evanger Lutheran Church in rural Sargeant with the Rev. Paul Hauschild officiating.
Interment: Evanger Lutheran Church Cemetery.
