Life jackets should be worn by all

The drownings of three men in Minnesota lakes this past week underscore the importance of summer safety.
Two of the men fell from a canoe on Greenwood Lake in northeastern Minnesota. The other man was on Forest Lake north of Minneapolis when he dove from his boat and never resurfaced.
We don't know any other details about the death of these three men.
However, we do know that wearing a safety jacket dramatically decreases the odds that you will drown.
Granted, wearing safety jackets can sometimes be uncomfortable and cumbersome.
Making the small investment in purchasing some safety jackets is well worth the price and time. And wearing such a jacket could save your life, or that of a loved one.
