The Austin Legion Post 91 softball team finished its season 22-4 with a 1-2 showing at the Class A State Tournament Saturday at Miller Park in Eden Prairie.

The local Legion team lost its opener to Delano, 2-1, before bouncing back for 14 hits in a 5-4 win over the South Metro Alliance. Northern Lights eliminated Austin with a 1-0 decision.

Amy Kelly surrendered just four hits in each of Austin's losses, while Abbey Bergstrom allowed five hits in the 5-4 win. Kelly's double drove in the tying run, and she later scored what proved to be the game-winner on a fielding error.
