Steven Floyd Bulman, 51
Steven Floyd Bulman, 51, of Spring Grove, died Sunday, June 9, 2002, of injuries from an automobile accident.
He was born June 8, 1951, in Waukon, Iowa, to Barton and Lotus (Huffey) Bulman.
He was a lifelong area resident, except for two years in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in Augsburg, Germany.
He was a 1969 Caledonia High School graduate.
On June 14, 1975, he married Denise Frederickson in LaCrosse, Wis.
He loved family, farming and working on his classic cars or anything mechanical. He farmed in the Spring Grove, Mabel and Caledonia areas.
He was a member of Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Spring Grove. He was also a member of the Spring Grove Township Board, he served on the Board of Directors of the Southeastern Minnesota Ethanol Coop and he was a member of the Spring Grove Legion Post #249.
Survivors include wife, Denise, Spring Grove; son, Andrew Bulman, Moody Air Force Base, Georgia; daughter; Abby Bulman, Spring Grove; parents, Barton and Lotus Bulman, Caledonia; brothers, Bruce (Diane) Bulman; Wade (LeeAnne) Bulman; Scott (Ellen) Bulman; sisters, Vickie Gates; Jeanine (Oyvind) Lorentzen; mother- and father-in-law, Dennis and Janice Frederickson, Spring Grove; brothers-in-law, Scott (Lita) Frederickson; Gary (Kristin) Frederickson; friends and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his son, Travis, in the same car accident.
Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 14, 2002, at the Trinity Fellowship Hall and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Service: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove with Pastor Dick Wohlgemuth officiating.
Interment: Trinity Church Cemetery.

Regina Steinbach, 93
Regina Wilhelmina Steinbach, 93, of Hayfield, died Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at Fieldcrest Nursing Home, Hayfield.
She was born Nov. 15, 1908, in Red Rock Township, to Herman and Louise (Dulitz) Schmidt. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church of Waltham.
After attending country school, she kept house for area pastors and others in the Waltham area as well as helping out on the family farm.
On Sept. 1, 1929, she married Elmer Martin Steinbach at Trinity. The couple farmed in Udolpho Township.
Elmer died on April 30, 2000, and Regina moved to the Cedars of Austin until November 2001 when she became a resident of Fieldcrest in Hayfield.
A member of the ladies aid, Regina also enjoyed playing the organ, cooking and gardening.
Survivors include son-in-law, David (Dorothy) Baumgartner, Brownsdale; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Esther Klasse, Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter, Audrey Baumgartner.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m., today, June 12, 2002, at the funeral home and Thursday at church for one hour before the service.
Service: 11 a.m., Thursday, at Trinity Lutheran Church Waltham with the Rev. Jeffrey Kuddes officiating.
Interment: The church cemetery.

Travis Keith Bulman, 13
Travis Keith Bulman, 13, of Spring Grove, died Sunday, June 9, 2002, of injuries from an automobile accident.
He was born June 12, 1988, in LaCrosse, Wis., to Steven and Denise (Frederickson) Bulman.
He had completed the eighth grade at Spring Grove High School.
He loved the outdoors, camping, hunting, driving 4-wheelers, and working with his dad in farming and at the shop. He also played basketball with the Spring High School team.
He was a member of Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Spring Grove.
Survivors include mother, Denise, Spring Grove; grandparents, Dennis and Janice Frederickson, Spring Grove; Barton and Lotus Bulman, Caledonia; brother, Andrew Bulman, Moody Air Force Base, Georgia; sister, Abby Bulman, Spring Grove; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Stella S. Rauen, 85
Stella S. Rauen, 85, of Adams, died Monday, June 10, 2002, at Adams Health Care Center.
She was born Oct. 28, 1916, in Stacyville, Iowa, to Math and Elizabeth (Gilles) Frein.
She attended Visitation Catholic School in Stacyville, Iowa.
She did housekeeping for various families and worked at Hormels. She also worked at Mike and Bills Bar in Adams.
On July 18, 1939, she married Mike H. Rauen at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams.
Her hobbies include baking, reading, house cleaning, growing plants and flowers, being a volunteer for the Red Cross and the Adams Health Care Center.
She was a member of the Adams American Legion Auxiliary, Sacred Heart Council of Catholic Women and Adams Health Care Auxiliary.
Survivors include sisters and brother-in-law, Sister Irene Frein, Dubuque, Iowa; Katherine Lechowit, Glendale, Ariz.; Joann Heimer, Adams; Gertrude and Edward May, Adams; brother and sister-in-law, John and Flossy Frein, Austin; brother-in-law, Ernie Loecher, Austin; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in January 2002, three sisters and a brother.
Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2002, with a 4:30 p.m. Rosary and a 7 p.m. Prayer Service and Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Service: 10:30 a.m., Thursday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Gregory Leif officiating. Organist will be Dar Boe and soloists will be Ron and LuAnn Stroup. Casket Bearers will be Evan Heimer, Karen Holden, Marie Svee, Bob Heimer, Margaret Zachman, Cindy Schneider, Jim Severson and Ray Rauen.
Interment: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Adams.

Gladys Shirley Peterson, 94
Gladys Shirley Peterson, 94, of Blooming Prairie, died Saturday, June 8, 2002, at Prairie Manor.
She was born Dec. 12, 1907, in Blooming Prairie, to Albert A. and Ragna Peterson. She was raised in Blooming Prairie.
She lived at Faribault Regional Center from 1925 until 1963 when she moved to Westside Board and Care Home in Owatonna. In 1992, she moved to Prairie Manor.
She enjoyed the activities at the home, shopping and going to the Steele County Fair.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Service: 9:30 a.m. graveside service, Friday, June 14, 2002, at Blooming Prairie Cemetery with the Rev. Heidi Heimgartner officiating.
