Crowning will occur Saturday

One of 10 young women will have the chance to be crowned Miss Austin when the event takes place 7 p.m. Saturday in the Knowlton Auditorium at Austin High School.
Three former Miss Minnesotas will be judges, and the contestants have been preparing for this night for weeks.
Make it a point to come out and give your support to each of these young women. They, along with each of their parents, have worked hard up until this point. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
And there's another important event this weekend that has plenty to offer.
Lyle is having its annual celebration. Horseshoe tournaments and street dances are two of the many festivities that will be taking place.
One popular event is the town's truck and tractor pull. If you think your vehicle has what it takes, registration starts at 9 a.m. Saturday on the south end of Lyle. If you just want to watch, the event will start at 10 a.m. For information, call 325-2525.
