Chevy Brown, 19 of Austin, was sentenced to prison Thursday in Mower County Third Judicial District Court.
Brown entered guilty pleas to the armed robberies of three gas station/convenience stores a year ago in Austin.
The plea agreement was negotiated by his attorney, Evan H. Larson. and resulted in two other felony charged dropped.
According to prosecutor Patrick Flanagan, an Assistant Mower County Attorney,
Brown will receive felony points based on sentencing guidelines for all the charges brought against him in connection with the crimes.
The defendant was sentenced to two 21-month prison terms plus another 54-month prison term. The sentences will run concurrently, according to Flanagan.
The defendant was transported immediately to the St. Cloud State Penitentiary, where all offenders are transferred immediately for intake processing.
Because of his age, Brown may serve his entire sentence at the St. Cloud facility, according to Flanagan.
