Lady Blossoms down Panthers, 7-2

Blooming Prairie took advantage of four NRHEG throwing errors to come away a 7-2 Gopher Conference victory at New Richland Monday night.

Maggie Romeo hit 1-3 with one run scored, and she had three stolen bases in the game. Romeo took second base and home in the second inning to score the first BP run.

Amanda Herdina went 1-3, scored one run and had a stolen base in the game. Rachel long batted 2-3 and had two doubles, while teammate Abbey Bergstrom hit 1-4 with a double and two runs batted in. Kristi Schwake went 2-4 with one run scored.

Bergstrom threw all seven innings on the mound, giving up only one earned run on three hits. She had eight strikeouts and two walks for the night.

The Blossoms are now 11-4 overall and 10-1 in the conference. Their next game will be today at home against Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton. JWP broke the Blossoms' winning streak to start last season in Blooming Prairie.
