Gloria Mae (Christiansen) Young, 72, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at her home in Mexico Beach, Fla.

She was born May 19, 1929 in Askov, Minn to John and Emily Christiansen.

In 1992 they moved to Mexico Beach from Austin.

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, and attended the Mexico Beach United Methodist Church.

Survivors include sons, Mitchell (Susan) Christiansen, Colorado Spring, Colo., and Paul Comisak, Panama City, Fla.; daughters Deborah (Dennis) Watkins, Enterprise, Ala., Janis Walburn, Panama City, Fla.; stepchildren, Sharon (Jim) Olson, Mankato, and William (Danita) Young, Mankato; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Mick Christiansen of Austin; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Jim, Richard and Donald Christiansen; a sister Alice Waller; and two stepdaughters, Wendy McFarland and Lori Hintz.

Service: A memorial service will be conducted by the Ladies Auxiliary at the VFW Post 10069, Port St. Joe, Fla. on June 8, 2002.

Orrin W. Zillgitt, 87

Orrin W. Zillgitt, 87, of LeRoy, died Friday, May 3, 2002, at Adams Health Care Center in Adams, Minn.

He was born in Fairmont, N.D. on Feb. 26, 1915.

He grew up on his family farm and graduated from Fairmont High School in 1933.

On Feb. 23, 1957 he married Mildred Finley in New Hampton, Iowa.

He worked as a salesman in the wholesale liquor business for 38 years.

He was a member of the Eagles Club, the Elks Lodge and Stewartville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife Mildred; daughters Marilyn (Harry) Horfield, Dallas, Tx., and Irene Stiles, Dallas, Tx.; sons, Melvin (Dee) Ferguson, Fuquay-Varina, N.C., Dale (Kathy) Ferguson, Rochester, Max (Kay) Ferguson, Chatfield, Rick (Colette) Zillgitt, Dexter, and Terry (Debi) Zillgitt, LeRoy; 24 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Visitation: At the church, two hours before the service on Monday.

Service: 1:30 p.m., Monday, May 6, 2002, at United Methodist Church in Stewartville with the Rev. Jef Olson officiating.

Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery, Stewartville.

Lucas Indiana Doe, 1

Lucas Indiana Doe, 1, of Austin, died Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.

He was born June 18, 2000 in Austin to Todd and Heidi (Smith) Doe.

Survivors include his parents Todd and Heidi Doe, Austin; sisters Leah Terry, Austin, and Laney Doe, Austin; grandparents LaVerne and Donna King, Austin, LeRoy and Janet Doe, Austin, Blair and Kathie Kleeberger, Dodge Center, Vicki and Ron Grotjahn, Winona, and Ramona and Don Purnell, Kasson; great-grandparents Bernice and Clarence Smith, Dodge Center; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation: At the funeral home, one hour before the service on Monday.

Service: 11 a.m., Monday, May 6, 2002, at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary with the Pastor Alice Durst officiating.

Interment: Oakwood Cemetery.
