The Mower County comprehensive plan task force moves one step closer to presenting a revised plan to the county commissioners tonight.

The task force members will meet 7 p.m. in the county commissioners' meeting room at the government center in downtown Austin.

The purpose of the workshop is to review the revised comprehensive plan.

Adjustment Board

The Mower County Board of Adjustment meets

1 p.m.

Wednesday, April 24.

Adjustment Board members will assemble in the government center parking lot before embarking on three site visits.

The members will go to Section 11, Pleasant Valley Township, where Raymond and Janet Quandt are seeking a variance to build two additional homes.

Next, they will visit Section 30, Udolpho Township, Barry Magnuson, applicant, and owners Sydney and

Shirley Magnuson are seeking a variance to build an additional home per quarter section.

The last visit takes place in

Section 26, Lansing Township, Royal Manor Second Addition. The petitioner and owners are seeking a variance

to build a garage 12 feet from the right of way instead of the required 40 feet.

The Adjustment Board members will reconvene at 3:10 pm. April 24 for a public hearing in the county commissioners' meeting room at the government center.

County Planning Commission

The Mower County Planning Commission meets in regular session 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 30.

Two conditional use permit requests are on the meeting agenda.

James and Kelli Venzke are seeking a CUP to construct a mini-storage facility of 2-5 buildings on property in Section 7, Racine Township.

Also, Jon Olson, petitioner, and owners Lance and Snowell Pogones and Jon and Gretchen Olson want a CUP to plat additional residential lots

in Section 32, Lansing Township.

The County Planning Commission meeting will be held in the county commissioners' meeting room in the lower level of the government center in downtown Austin.
