Larry Tompkins, wearing a green shirt, is befuddled by the cow he is told to milk by Mower County American Dairy Association President Lynn Sathre, with microphone, at Sunday night’s milking contest at Adams Dairy Days. Meanwhile, Jim Kiefer, mayor of Taopi and wearing sunglasses, appears suspicious the contest is rigged. Tompkins, superintendent of Southland schools, won the contest, which ended a weekend of fun at Dairy Days.
