If you attended the town hall meeting on March 8 at the library, you are aware of what a success it was.
A standing-room-only crowd packed the large meeting room, sharing and listening that night. Now it is time to take that success to the next step.
Tonight, another town hall meeting will be held in the Austin Public Library’s large meeting room, but this time the focus will be on community circles.
"This will be an extension of the first town hall meeting," George Thomas said. Thomas, outreach coordinator for The Welcome Center, served as moderator for the first event.
Thomas said tonight’s meeting will include information about community circles – what they are and what the format of each will be like.
A few locations have been arranged for the community circles already. However, meeting times still must be coordinated, based on times that are convenient for those who sign up tonight.
The event will start at 6:30 p.m. and should last for about an hour, according to Thomas.
