LeRoy-Ostrander’s Erin Dohlman, the only member of the girls’ golf team, took one step closer to a return engagement with the state tournament by placing first at the Class A Sub-Section 2 golf meet Monday at Ramsey Golf Course near Austin.

LeRoy-Ostrander’s Erin Dohlman, the only member of the girls’ golf team, took one step closer to a return engagement with the state tournament by placing first at the Class A Sub-Section 2 golf meet Monday at Ramsey Golf Course near Austin.

Dohlman, a junior, shot 41-43 – 84 to win the sub-section by eight strokes. She is the only girls’ golfer at L-O, but apparently does not let that bother her.

Scoring in second place in the meet was Sammi Jones of Lyle/Pacelli. Her round of 44-48 – 92 also earned her advancement into the sections, which will be held Tuesday, May 29 at Cedar River Country Club in Adams, starting at 9 a.m.

Lyle/Pacelli finished third as a team, well behind first-place Lanesboro and runner-up Stewartville. Blooming Praire finished fourth and Southland-Grand Meadow was fifth. L-O, with only one golfer, did not record a team score.
