Got cabin fever?

If green grass has you thinking about your yard, perhaps you should head out this weekend to the Austin Home and Vacation Show at Riverside Arena. There will be plenty of vendors who can help you with your spring home improvement projects or plan a great summer getaway vacation. Admission is free and the show runs until 8 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Are you hungry?

If you’re hungry for breakfast on Sunday morning, head on over to the Eagles Club, 510 Oakland Ave. East, for the Austin All-Star Baseball Breakfast from 8:45 a.m. until noon. Breakfast includes two eggs, sausage, hash browns, toast, juice, coffee and milk for $3.50; children’s portions also will be available.

A lot of dancers

The competition gym at Austin High School will be filled with 1,400 dancers from 11 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Saturday. The girls, in grades 4-12, are competing in the 2001 Just for Kix dance competition. While teams will be attending from four states, local teams will be from Austin, Blooming Prairie, Adams and St. Ansgar, Iowa.
