A memorial of floral arrangements stands in the snow outside the Richard Cotter residence in rural Austin on Monday. Richard Cotter and his friend, Mary McIntyre were slain in the home Thursday before a fire was set to cover the crime. Cotter’s adopted son, Stacey Benjamin Cotter, 23, has been arrested in connection with the killings. The Cotter family is requesting that memorials be made by donations in lieu of flowers and food. A fund has been established at Wells Fargo Bank in downtown Austin.
