The new Chauncey Apartments in downtown Austin are starting to look exciting.
But what’s even more exciting is that the complex almost already is full. The Austin Housing and Redevelopment Authority reports that there are only seven units still available.
An open house will be held April 14 for those who already have signed rental agreements. A second open house will be held April 18 for the 140 individuals still on a waiting list for the remaining apartments. The HRA hopes that the open house will generate interest in the remaining one-bedroom apartments for seniors.
The first tenants will be able to move in to the west side of the complex starting April 1 and the east side should be ready for new residents around the middle of April.
The speedy finish to construction is leaving city officials pleased. The new complex is attractive and blends into the area well, too. The residents who move in to Chauncey Apartments should be expected to be pleased with the pleasing aesthetics of the complex.
An open house for the public is expected in May. The city rightfully is pleased with this new complex.
