The Packers pulled themselves out of early 15-8 and 26-21 holes to pull within four, 39-35, of Rochester John Marshall at the end of the third period. Then the Rockets employed a half-court trap and went on a 15-point run to seize a 56-40 victory.

"We were right in the game until we had some turnovers against their press and they converted them into some easy layups," said AHS head coach Jim Leichtnam.

Jenna Cummins led AHS in scoring with 11 points. Amy Kelly added nine and Lisa Bue had eight.

The Packers next game will be in Section 1AA play on Thursday, March 1, at Owatonna.
