The Austin Medical Center is still waiting for the first baby of the year to be born there.
Nancy Hoversten, Women’s Special Care Unit manager at Austin Medical Center, said there were a few babies born on New Year’s Eve, but none on Tuesday or early Wednesday.
AMC will once again be offering a gift basket to the first new baby born in 2002.
