The holiday season got underway this week in Austin with an official proclamation from the mayor and will continue throughout the weeks leading up to Christmas with many Christmas in the City events.

The Austin Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual organized event is sure to put everyone in the spirit.

While enjoying the Christmas cheer it is important to remember to shop local merchants and service providers. The Austin area features a number of stores both large and small as well as common and unique. One doesn’t have to leave the friendly confines of our city to fill a shopping list.
