LEROY – A 19-year-old man was assaulted early Saturday morning outside his home here.
Christopher Morgan, 19, was injured in the incident. Infor-mation wasn’t released until today.
According to a Mower County Sheriff’s Department report, Morgan said he was visited by three individuals who demanded he pay money owed another. He refused and they left only to return a second time.
In that instance, there were eight people outside Morgan’s trailer and the verbal argument escalated to a brawl in which Morgan suffered cuts and bruises to his face as well as bruised ribs.
Three individuals arrested in connection with the incident face charges of fifth-degree assault and minor consuming. They are two boys, ages 16 and 17, and Charles Hammond, 18, all of LeRoy.
Morgan was treated and released from St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, where he went after initially refusing a deputy’s offer to seek medical treatment.
The deputy received the report of the incident in progress at 1:18 a.m. Saturday.
