Sunday’s Mower County Humane Society Walk for Animals left both people and pets in need of a rest. Here Donna Snyder and her dog, Peanuts the poodle, sit near the bandshell with Nell Madura and her dog, Misty, who is part poodle and part schnauzer. Humane society members estimated that walkers raised more than $6,000 for the group. Others who would like to donate can mail donations to 1010 10th Drive SE, Austin.
