The 22nd annual Youth International Baseball Tournament concluded Sunday after delaying the start of play because of heavy early morning rains.

The results are as follows:

– Sportsmanship Award: Blue Earth Area

– Consolation Champions: Mankato Red in a 7-2 win over the Port Aurthur Continentals (Thunder Bay, Ontario)

– Third place: Rochester Adlers beat Westfort (Thunder Bay, Ontario), 10-2.

– Championship: Rochester Ryan Windows edged out Fond du Lac (Wis.) Wischoppers, 8-7, in a dramatic come-from-behind victory, avenging an earlier loss to Fond du Lac.

The tournament went very well and enjoyed expanded attendance over last years tourney, according to Steve Rizzi, public relations chairman for the Austin All-Stars.
